Benefits of detoxing + burning fat cells

According to Ayurveda, fat is a detox fuel. This is because fat,-soluble toxins, and chemicals as stored in our fat cells.

When we burn our fat, we are burning these toxins along with it. Examples of the fat soluble toxins store in our fat cells include  preservatives, pesticides, dioxin, pollutants and other harmful chemicals.

 

Many of us in the West can no longer burn fat and instead burn sugar. When we cannot digest fat well, fat-soluble toxins can congest the lymphatic system and be sent back to the liver for storage in our fat cells. Many toxins and stored in the arteries, heart and brain, which have high concentrations of fat. Once you become a better fat burner, which this cleanse can facilitate, you will begin to release these toxins from your fat cells.

Detox + Nourish your Lymphatic system

The lymphatic system drains the waste from your body and controls and regulates your immune system. It is pumped through muscular contractions, so if you are sedentary, the lymphatic system will also become sluggish and will deposit toxins in the lymphatic related tissues, such as the breast, skin, joints, and muscles.

When the lymph system become sluggish you may experience:

  • Sluggish immunity

  • Bloating around the abdomen

  • Cellulite

  •  Cold hands and feet

  • Mild fatigue

  • Lack of mental clarity

  •  Breast swelling or tenderness

  •  Joint discomfort that moves around the body

  • Itching

  •  Occasional constipation

  • Occasional headache 

  • Halitosis (bad breath)

  • Swollen hands or feet

  • Water retention

  • Sore feet in the morning

Emotions are mental toxins

Molecules of emotion -or mental toxins, according to ayurveda - such as anger, fear, sadness, jealousy, etc - are lipophilic, which means they get stored in our fat cells which can result in physical and emotional disturbances for years and years. Burning, our fat cells allows for the release of old patterns of behavior that we, perhaps subconsciously, find ourselves repeating year after year.
We have many reasons to burn off fat cells, other than just for the looks.

At home detox - 2 options (you choose)

Everything I offer here below and in the document I will share with you is an invitation. You choose how much you want to practice yoga and do the supportive practices. You can do as much and as little as feels good for you. For the nutrition I invite you to stick to the program so you can get all the benefits.

I want this detox to be as simple as possible.

Note that we will pretty much eat all the time the same thing, with slight variation. It might feel boring but it will be freeing quite some space from your mind and simplify your digestion.

  • We follow the same first week as the 5-day detox, but the second week we will go one step further.

  • We will simplify even more the meals, During that phase, you will be taking increasing amounts of ghee (clarfied butter, or coconut oil) each morning, while enjoying a non-fat diet, the rest of the day.
