It is that time of the year. Days and nights are equally long. We are at that turning point, when then days are getting shorter than nights.
It's a good time to practice non attachment. Even if we love summer, it does pass. Remembering that it is easier when we let go. Trees are beautiful symbols for that. They gracefully shed their leaves, and those which don't, do not resist winter as well as the ones which simply let go.
Equinox is a great time to prepare for the upcoming fall and winter, as we leave summer behind us. A time for reflection.
Remembering everything we have planted this year, and being thankful for what we have harvested. Letting go of what no longer serves us.
We turn again inwardly after a summer when we often are involved in the outer world.
The equinox is this balance between night and day, but also our inner and outer world.
Time to get ready to reflect about what we want and need.
We can finish up old plans, and plant seeds for new habits, new projects.
We nowadays barely pay attention to the change of season, and we no longer celebrate all those beautiful moments in the year.
If you want to make it special, you can take advantage of this rainy Sunday to:
Join Nathalie and me for a a special Fall Equinox Workshop, a yoga practice followed by a sound journey. We will prepare the energy for fall and consolidate it during the sound bath. More info
If you choose to stay home, you can take time to reflect and journal. What is not serving you anymore and what do you want to put in place? What would benefit you?
Meditate
Whatever way you choose to celebrate the Equinox and prepare for fall season, make space to:
Find peace
Forgive
Prepare your energy for fall
And if we are sometimes melancholic and feel some sadness when we realize that summer is behind us and fall and winter are on their way, I share with you this quote:
"Anyone who thinks fallen leaves are dead has never watched them dancing on a windy day"
wishing you all a Happy Fall Equinox!
